New Technology File System (NTFS) is an advanced form of FAT file system that is found in Windows Operating System and is used in Windows Server 2003, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 2008. Earlier version of Windows OS cannot read NTFS file system. NTFS has five versions- v1.0, v1.1 and v1.2 in NT 3.51 and NT 4, v3.0 in Windows 2000 and Window Server 2003. It provides high security and more disk space than other file system.

If you want to keep your personal or confidential file private, you have to erase all your files from NTFS partition before selling your personal computer to other person. For deleting your data from your system permanently it is not enough to press just delete option or empty recycle bin. When you perform delete operation to delete a file from Windows Operating System it is not permanently deleted. It still remains in some part of your NTFS drive.

Following are the steps by which you can perform the recovery process:
Step 1: Install the disk wiping tool and launch it on your system. Once launched, the home screen appears. After that you have to select the NTFS and then click on the option “Next”.

Step 2: Choose appropriate standard shredding pattern among 9 data shredding patterns and then click on “Next” to securely wipe NTFS drive.

Step 3:After that you will get a confirmation message of successful wiping process.
